By Hand, Electricity or Gas?

One of the first decisions you have to do is a source of energy that is best suited for your lawn mower. Available in three versions: pushed by hand, electricity and gasoline. Driven by hand cylinder mowers are driven Lawn mower Hand cheaper, easier and more readily available.

They are also the weakest. Hand-pushed mower with the cutting cylinder and the cutting, scissors movement. When the mower is pushed forward, driving wheels, the gears of a cylinder of blades are against a fixed blade. Hand mowers are ideal for small lawns, because they are light and handy in general.

They may be particularly useful in remote locations where an external power supply is a problem. hand lawn mowers are also safer, with no fuel or electricity, you can feel comfortable to allow children to earn their money in their pockets. Furthermore, the mechanism of the cylinder a fine finish can be short, and is very quiet, to annoy the neighbors, a habit! However, there are some disadvantages to hand push mower, the cut because of its narrow width, are not suitable for large lawns.

Hand push mower also need some physical exertion by the operator (although to see some of the work and, perhaps, an advantage!). In addition, the hand pushed mower does not do well against the rough and vegetation, the cylinder blades tend the grass flat instead of scissors. Electric mowers have more power than a lawn mower powered by a single hand, making them suitable for gardens of small and medium enterprises.

Are less costly than other fuels, and obviously not bothered to refueling.Electric mower battery Available in two versions, with or without wires. The cordless (battery) models offer the advantage of greater freedom, but in general, way and cost more string types. Electric clamps have the disadvantage of an external power supply eighth to cut their long cables sometimes uncomfortable, and must be taken not to cut the cable! An RCD (residual current device) must be used to be turned off automatically when the lines were damaged.

Petrol lawnmowers are the largest, most powerful, heaviest and most expensive mower available. Lawnmower petrol engine has the advantage that it can move freely, do not need a power cord, making them suitable for larger gardens. Petrol lawnmowers are also very powerful to include cutting the vegetation for most Light Work meadows.

When considering a gas mower, highlight some drawbacks. They are heavy, so that the same push-models can be physically demanding job, not a problem with the type of car, less physical, but need more ability to work. In addition, gasoline mowers generally have a large cut, so that unmanoeuvrable sometimes. In summary, it can generally be considered hand mower for small lawn driven, electric lawn mower average gasoline for lawn mowers and large.

Simple Lawnmower Maintenance

This article provides suggestions for treatment of lawn mowers, including cleaning the spark plugs, air filter and carburetor. It also sharpened the guides on the verification of fluid levels, fuel and blades.

Do you have trouble starting your lawnmower this spring? Before deciding to take your lawnmower in for repair, try these simple tips. Having completed most of the fire and managed as a lawn mower standard.

Pull and clean the spark plug

More often than simply clean the spark plug will solve your lawnmower. To do this, remove the wire attached to the end of the candle. Then use a wrench or ratchet / socket, remove the spark plug. If the plug is black or wet looking, you probably have the problem because the mower will start not found.

Use fine-grained sand at the top of the candle to bare metal. Be sure to sand the edges of the metal piece (TAB), which is just above the electrode. Make sure there is a gap between the seal and the electrode. If you are still manual mower and a pressure gauge you can adjust the distance specifications. However, if there is a small difference is probably enough for the candle to work properly.

Make sure the candle is to be free of dust and dry. Then screw in the cylinder and connect the wire at the end of the candle. Then try to start the mower.

Check for oil

Make sure the oil in the mower and is the right size.

Fuel control

Make sure there is gas in the mower. If you have old gas mower and do not put a fuel stabilizer at the end of the season to replace the gas. If you had drained the tank at the end of last season, and then fill the tank at least half full with new gas.

Check fuel hose

How many of us at the end of the lawn mowing season before we switch off the fuel line. Make sure it is ON. If all the above and the engine did not fire, then check the fuel in the carburetor. Currently, the fuel line disconnect the carburetor and see if the gas flows. In this case the tube again. Otherwise, check the fuel line. It may be dirty or clogged fuel filter.

Check the air filter

Make sure the air filter is clean. If dirty, oily, then replaced. If you only agitates dirt and bring some ‘dust. This might solve the problem, but I continue to recommend his replacement.

Clean Carburetor

Turn on the fuel line. Removing and cleaning the carburetor is not as bad as you think. There is usually a nut on the underside of the carburetor. Remove them and pull out the bottom of the carburetor. Clean the inside of the bottom of the carburetor, make sure the float valve moves up and down freely. The float valve is a plastic object about 1.5 cm in diameter, it depends if you remove the bottom of the carburetor.

Close the bottom of carburetor and the fuel line back.

Start the mower. If this still does not work for the implementation of all these steps, this leads to a repair shop. However, to resolve the personal experience of this procedure is usually the problem.

Sharpen the Saw

Finally, be sure to sharpen the sword. This feature allows you to minimize the motor torque during shearing. Do not forget, you get more mowing the lawn regularly.
